Recreation & amenities
94 acres of courts, trails, ponds, and open fields β most amenities are free and open dawn to dusk; a few require a reservation.
Trails & grounds
Stone-lined walking paths wind past Depression-era bridges, a natural amphitheater, and stocked fishing ponds. Two softball diamonds and multiple soccer fields host league play throughout the season.
Playgrounds & picnicking
Picnic tables are scattered throughout the grounds in addition to the 18 reservable shelters. Playground equipment is located near the main shelter areas β see the park map on the Monuments tab.
Monuments & the park map
Dedicated in 1920 to Henry County's World War I dead and rededicated in 1923 to honor veterans of every war, the park was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.
